After I've installed version 4.2 of Sunblognuke, I'm no longer able to format text, insert pictures etc in the Excerpt field, because the radeditor is missing in the Excerpt field.

Is this an bug.... ?

Hi Bard,

No, we have converted the RichEditor for excerpt into plain textbox still you can fill in the html tags. Now you can append your image/thumbnail with custom fields feature. Please read the tutorial Extend DNN Blog With Custom Fields, in which We look at how to put custom fields into practice and show you some potential uses of custom fields. Hope it makes sense.

I have lots of different blog users...
To start teaching them all about custom fields is far to complicated, and something I dont think will work .
I understand that custom fields can increase the flexibilty of Sunblognuke.  For my users though, to remove the editor from the Excerpt field means loss of functionality, and I regret this.
Its simply to difficult for this users to start using custom fields....

Well, we will consider to roll back the rich editor for the Excerpt field and update the post if done. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

We rolled back the rich text editor for excerpt fields in Fixed Version 4.2.5 for SunBlogNuke Available Now. Please feel free to upgrade it. Hope it makes sense.
