Since the SunBlogNuke v2 was released a little more than two months ago, we have had some great feedback from the community - most of it positive, but there were also a few hiccups that needed to be fixed. The SunBlogNuke team worked very hard on those fixes and I believe they were all taken care of properly. Of course there also are a lot of feature requests for next building. Thank you all for that. All in all a very stable, high performing and versatile product.

SunBlogNuke.NEXT

The future of SunBlogNuke looks bright and we have a lot of ideas we want to implement. As I promised in the last post Goals and Resolutions for SunBlogNuke in the New Year, we will update the Ultimate DNN Blog Module – SunBlogNuke Roadmap for new year 2010 so you can see the good stuff we are planning for. There are many new features, tweaks and improvements including:

  • Import & export support, which makes the transfer process between other blog platforms and SunBlogNuke more easily (High Priority)
  • Workflow enhancement, including awesome version and rollback features.
  • Nest comment & comment feed
  • Sitemap provider
  • Permission/role optimization – Allow bind the blog role with DNN core role. You get the detailed issue from the post SunBlog - Automatic authors assignment.
  • Custom fields support
  • Email subscription with newsletter
  • Ping and trackback enhancement
  • Email to Weblog - Allow users to post to blog via email
  • Code refactoring - Focus on simplifying the existing codes

Actually this document is a work in progress and is constantly changing. Feedback is welcome. You can visit here to get the latest version of roadmap document.
